Sunday 22nd March 2020
Thank you all for your patience during this extremely emotional time. While we have been awaiting advice from the government, we still have no answers. Ahead of what we see coming, we have taken the devastating decision to CLOSE our wonderful campsite, today until end of Easter.
Yesterday saw a massive influx of tourists throughout the country and while we all need to get fresh air; we feel we need to move in smaller circles. Travel needs to be discouraged and is the only way we can make a difference. Ingleton is a small country village with many elderly residents who are trying to shop local and stay socially isolated, for us to invite our guests from other areas would be a mistake.
We have frozen all bookings and once we have further information from the government, we will be able to offer you more news. As a small self-employed business, we are already at a worrying point and at present have been offered very little support and could ultimately face bankruptcy.
With each other’s support we will fight this and urge you all to sit tight, stay strong and move in small circles. There has been and I’m sure there will be more tears to shed but we are certain that this country will be moving again and we look forward to welcoming you all back with open arms, hugs and handshakes; not elbow dabs.
We will be in touch with all our current bookings via email in turn so please don’t call. We all need some family time to come to terms with this.
We wish you all the very best in health, business and love.
